Storyline

- Macheath kills Mrs Trapes' husband and dog because he knew too much about his actions

- Polly and Macheath secretly get married

- Mr and Mrs Peachum are worried where Polly is so they ask Filch to look for her

- Filch sees Polly and Macheath together

- Filch goes back to the Peachums to tell them the news, but they are furious

- Polly arrives home only to be confronted about her marriage by her parents who are mad, so she tries to convince them Macheath is good but she fails

- Mr and Mrs Peachum plot to get Macheath into jail

- Lockit also plans to capture Macheath for his actions

- Mr Peachum gets voted for Mayer and decides to bring back the hanging punishment

- Macheath and Polly plan to run away together

- The plan doesn't work as Macheath get taken to jail by his befriended woman

-Lucy Lockit goes to the jail to get her lover Macheath back and tells him he is the father of her child

- Polly then arrives to also save Macheatth but sees the two together so she tells Lucy about their marriage

- Macheath denies the marriage though both Lucy and Polly are mad at him

- Macheath escapes the prison

- Polly tries to commit suicide as her marriage is over, she is then found

- Lockit and Mr and Mrs Peachum search for Macheath again

- Macheath finds his gang but see that they have a new leader (Polly), they all then take him back to prison to be hanged

- Lucy and Polly arrive to see Macheath die

- Macheath escapes the hanging

- He then kills himself as he is caught
